DSD stands for Discover Scuba Diving, and it is an introductory (about 1 1/2 hours) experience to scuba diving.
While you do not become a certified scuba diver after this experience, you get to try what it is like to be a scuba diver - in full scuba gear.
The experience consists of the following:
25 min lesson (dry) - I will be going over the key concepts in scuba diving with students
30 min of skill practice (in pool) - students experience some of the most important scuba skills in the water in the shallow area of the pool.
30 min of diving (in pool) - depending on student's comfort level we can stay in the shallow part of the pool, the 9 feet ledge, or even go down into the deepest area of the pool. How cool is that?!
5 min debriefing (in pool) - we talk about the experience, and I answer questions.
