About Me

Hi! My name is Camila. I am so happy you are thinking of diving with me. I have been an elementary school teacher for the past five years at Katy ISD, and I am a passionate scuba diver! 

My love for the water came at a very young age. While spending endless hours snorkeling in the shores of Angra, in Brazil, all I desired was to not have to go up for air. Many years later, I was able to consolidate my dream - I became a scuba diver.

I love teaching children! I love seeing them learn a new skill whether it is in science, math, or diving. They have an incredible capacity to learn and thrive if we give them the right tools and encouragement.

When I am not teaching or diving, you'll find me spending lots of time with my husband and our five children. I love to read, garden, bake, and travel. I am fluent in three languages: Portuguese, Spanish, and of course, English.

Since 2024, I have been a divemaster for Gigglin Marlin Dive & Swim in Houston, and I would love to introduce you to the wonderful world of scuba!
